Homemade & Natural Diets for Dogs
First it is important to strive for a variety of foods that will ensure a proper nutritional
balance.
Dr. Pitcairn recommends that you stick to the recipes as closely as possible and use fresh or organic ingredients
whenever possible.
And if your dog will eat it, use raw meats and fresh vegetables such as parsley, alfalfa sprouts, carrots, and
zucchini. Cooked corn, peas, green beans and broccoli are also excellent sources of nutrition. ( Dogs do eat veggies in the wild and this
is an important part of their nutrition.
However, take precaution against pesticides and wash any non organic veggies prior to use)
